Hot tub insulation against the coldest environments
Nordic Insulation System is a total insulation system, especially suitable for all outdoor hot tubs and cold environments. It is a 10 mm thermal insulation material made up of 5 layers, in this order:
- Aluminium
- RC9 foam + low density polyethylene (with a double layer).
- FONEX non-cross-linked polyethylene foam (20 kg/m3).
- RC9 bubble + low density polyethylene (with a double layer).
- Aluminium
This material completely covers the entire side surface of the spa (in addition to the bottom insulation, which is standard in all spas), and creates an air chamber that prevents heat leakage, maximises energy efficiency and, logically, leads to great energy savings.
According to tests carried out by our quality department, to maintain the water at 38ºC with an outside temperature of -15ºC, the Nordic Insulation System guarantees an energy saving of 80% compared to a spa without this insulation. Nordic Insulation System considerably improves the energy saving of the EcoSpa service (69% saving).
